The marriage of solid design principles for particular needs has resulted in 25 years of custom residential and commercial design. He has incorporated elements of pueblo revival, territorial, northern New Mexican, contemporary and beyond in his work and has appeared in Architectural Digest, the Santa Fean and in the book “A Room Of Her Own”, by Chris Casson Madden.
Rod walks clients through the design process by first listening very carefully to their basic living needs and budgets. As physical forms begin to take shape, the owners are partners in the formulation of a final design through construction documents. As an appropriate builder is selected and the construction team is formed, Rod is available to assist with any on site questions, clarifications, modifications and material selections. “I’ve learned over time that it is critical that owners feel they have a knowledgeable advocate in the field who will assert the integrity of their design.”
