 The
marriage of solid design principles for particular
needs has resulted in 25 years of custom residential
and commercial designs.Rod Gesten has incorporated
elements of pueblo revival, territorial, northern
New Mexican, contemporary and has appeared in
Architectural Digest, the Santa Fean
and in the book “A Room Of Her Own”, by Chris
Casson Madden. Born 15 miles from Manhattan,
Rod is a native of New Jersey.
Before attending North Carolina
State University School of Design where he received
his Bachelor degree in Architecture, he had traveled
Europe and parts of Africa to understand cultures
outside of his own urban upbringing.
Rod has been involved in community
issues, volunteering his time on neighborhood
boards and committees. He and his wife, Randi,
participate in many non-profit activities throughout
the year. When the need for
a break arises, they recreate by packing their
bags and three children and exploring other areas
of the country.
